About the LiUNA Pension Fund
The Labourers Pension Fund (LPF) is an industry-leading defined-benefit pension plan, rated among the top 10 most progressive and secure MEPPs in Canada.
Established February 23, 1972, the LPF is a Multi-Employer Pension Plan that provides retirement benefits for members under collective agreements between unions, employers, and the Plan Trustees.
If you work for a company that has signed a collective agreement with LiUNA Local 1089, your employer is required to contribute to the LPF on your behalf — based on hours worked at the negotiated contribution rate. The LPF is registered under the Ontario Pension Benefits Act and with Canada Revenue Agency.
